Common API The DAZEL SDK usesa common API to integrate DAZEL output management capabilities intoapplications, providing access to all DAZEL Output Server services. TheDAZEL SDK abstracts system-level print, fax, e-mail and pagingfunctionality into one common API. Application developers need onlylearn one common API - saving the time and expense of addressing each ofthese areas separately. Delivering and Managing Information The primaryfunction of DAZEL SDK is to provide reliable delivery of mission-criticalinformation, such as customer invoices, manufacturing bills ofmaterials, and financial reports, from client/server applications.Using the server-based approach, DAZEL is able to centralize control ofthe delivery process, and provide extensive notification capabilitiesfor jobs, queues and destinations. Receiving Event Notifications DAZELSDK reports real-time information about delivery events and status toapplications, users and administrators. For example, notices are sentwhen a printer has run out of paper or when a fax transmission is halteddue to a busy signal. Browsing for Destinations An enterprise-wideDAZEL installation may include thousands of output destinations. Findingthe right destination to deliver mission-critical information to is madesimple with DAZEL. The SDK allows users to browse through the availableoutput destinations to select the preferred destination for delivery.
